As of recently, Michael Calvillo, more commonly known as Fresh Micks, is an American multi-instrumentalist, singer/songwriter, mix engineer, and record producer originating from King City, California. At a young age, Micks quickly gravitated towards music at the age of 9, using it as his creative outlet to escape the realities of his struggling home life. From there, he started to record his own covers to big songs and would master and remix them for his own enjoyment. He then grew the confidence to show the world his God given talent and abilities.
Having mixed and produced several songs charting on Billboard, Micks’ versatility along with his understanding of music puts him in a league of his own. Working closely alongside Dylan Graham, a producer whose worked with big names like Summer Walker and T- Pain, Micks has proved that he has the connections and talent to make it far. He rapidly made a name for himself in 2013-2015 when he released a series of freestyles and remixes, along with his mixtapes on YouTube such as “Learning Experience” and “Hometown Hero”.
After taking years off social media, he’s finally back in 2021 and better than ever— his most recent release “Disaster 2” is considered “A soulful melodic, R&B body of work that garnered the attention of music blog, music critics, and fans alike, marking the era of a new season for Micks”. Along with “Disaster 2” Micks also has single “Case” which also includes a music video. All these achievements put Fresh Micks in the right direction for ultimate success.
